Sometimes we all have a bad day and need the expressions olla tukossa and olla jumissa.
Tukossa = Niin, että jokin ei mene läpi jostain
- Mun nenä on tukossa. = I have a stuffy nose.
- Vessanpönttö on taas tukossa! - The toilet is clogged again!
- Tie oli tukossa, koska joku oli ajanut ojaan. - The road was blocked, because somebody had driven into the ditch.
- Miten tämä meni tukkoon? - How did this get clogged?
Jumissa = Niin, että ei liiku
- Mä olen jumissa lumihangessa. = I'm stuck in a snow bank.
- Olin Suomessa jumissa puoli vuotta koronan takia. = I was stuck in Finland for 6 months because of Covid-19.
- Mulla on selkä jumissa. = I can't move my back. (If I move my back, it hurts.)
- Minä jäin jumiin! - I got stuck!
