viettää - juhlia - viipyä - viihtyä - nauttia - käyttää aikaa

How to spend and enjoy time in Finnish? How about celebrating something or staying somewhere? 

These verbs might come in handy:

Viettää

• Kuinka aiot viettää juhannusta? - How are you going to celebrate / spend the Midsummer? 
• Missä aiot viettää joulun? - Where will you spend Christmas?

Juhlia

• Kuinka aiot juhlia voittoasi? - How will you celebrate your victory?
• En juhli. - I won't be celebrating my birthday. (Type this in the Google image search!)

Viipyä

• Kuinka kauan aiot viipyä Tukholmassa? - For how long will you stay in Stockholm? (Actually, this sounds really formal. I think I would just ask Kuinka kauan aiot olla Tukholmassa? If you are wondering about staying somewhere, check out my post about jäädä.)
• Älä viivy kauan! - Don't stay for long!

Viihtyä

• Viihdytkö Suomessa? - Do you enjoy being in Finland?
• En viihdy hänen seurassaan. - I don't enjoy bsing in his company. 

Nauttia

• Nauttikaa lomasta! - Enjoy the vacation!

Käyttää aikaa

• Kuinka paljon aikaa aiot käyttää tähän? - How much time are you going to spend on this?
