How to use the Finnish word 'sama'

Sama - it's almost the same as same!

• Miksi meillä on aina samaa ruokaa? - Why do we always have the same food?
• Voi ei. Mulla on samanlainen paita kuin opettajalla. - Oh no. I have the same kind of shirt than the teacher. 
• En enää koskaan tee tätä samaa virhettä. - I'll never make this same mistake again. 
• Tuletteko meidän kanssa samaan aikaan? - Will you come at the same time with us?
• Menetkö kauppaan? Voitko käydä samalla postissa? - Are you going to the store? Could you stop by the post office at the same time?
• Jatka samalla tavalla. - Keep up the good work. (Continue the same way.)
• Olen samaa mieltä. - I agree. 

Small dialogues with sama:

• Mulla on kamala nälkä. - Im super hungry.
• Sama täällä. - Same here. So am I. 

• Mitä tehdään? - What shall we do?
• Ihan sama mulle. - It's all the same to me.

• Hyvää päivänjatkoa! - Have a nice day!
• Kiitos samoin! - Thanks, same to you!

Notice that similar is samanlainen.

• Minulla on samalainen t-paita! - I have a similar t-shirt!
• Meillä on samanlaiset takit! - We have similar jackets.
