Have you ever read a book in Finnish?
How about a novel in easy Finnish?
I would suggest that you start with Miika Nousiainen's Juurihoito. It is a funny yet kind of tragic story of two Finnish brothers (who just found out that they are brothers) traveling in Finland, Sweden, Thailand and Australia while trying to find their father.
- You can either buy the book or get it from your local library.
- If the text seems too difficult, you can start with this Memrise vocabulary.
- After each three chapters, you can take a Quizlet match quiz.
- You can also listen to the first four chapters read by me.
I'm also working on a set of Zoom webinars where we can read and discuss the book together.
Will you accept the challenge?
