haukkua - haukata - haukotella

Just a small post about three verbs that start with HAU.


Haukkua


  • Miksi tuo koira haukkuu taas? - Why is that dog barking again?
  • Ei saa haukkua muita! - Don't bad mouth other people!
  • Pomo haukkui mun esityksen. - The boss slated my presentation. 

Haukata 


  • Kuka on haukannut mun omenasta? - Who has taken a bite from my apple?
  • Saanko haukata palan? - May I take a bite (with my mouth)?

Haukotella


  • Älä haukottele vaan mene nukkumaan. - Don't yawn but got to sleep.
  • Anteeksi, että haukottelin sun luennolla. - Sorry that I was yawning during your lecture.
