Kielen elämä in easy Finnish

Lari Kotilainen's Kielen elämä is a non-fiction book about the history of Finnish language. I learned so much when simplified it into easy Finnish, and Ina Majaniemi and I had a great time planning the illustrations. This is definitely a book that all Finnish learners should read! Who doesn't want know when the ö sound came to this language, or why spoken Finnish is so different from the standard language they use on the news?
