Being nervous and excited in Finnish

Here are some examples of how to express nervousness and excitement in Finnish. Check out the links for more word definitions and take it easy, ota rennosti.

Being nervous: 

  • Mikä sua jännittää? Mikä sua hermostuttaa? - What's making you nervous?
  • Miksi sinä olet noin hermostunut? - Why are you so nervous?
  • Mua jännittää / hermostuttaa se huominen matka. - I'm nervous about the trip tomorrow.
  • Älä jännitä. Älä hermoile. - Don't be nervous.
  • Jännitin hänen puolestaan. - I was nervous for her. 
  • Tämä odottaminen on hermoja raastavaa! -This waiting  is nerve breaking!

Being exited:

  • Mä olen tosi innoissani huomisesta matkasta! - I'm really excited about the trip tomorrow!
  • Minulla on jännittävä päivä edessä! - I have an exciting day ahead!
  • Juna ei liiku. Tämä on jännä tilanne. - The train doesn't move. This is an interesting situation.
